Saint Endréol is a golfing resort near Le Muy. We stayed there several times between mid-1990’s and 2007, in part as a stop-over when driving back and forth to Nice, and in part to play a very pleasant 18-hole golf course inaugurated in 1992.
For us it was the ideal stop-over. Good hotel facilities, easy parking, quiet, a really nice, well maintained golf course, and a welcoming club house. Ideal for a two-night stay and a round of golf. The photographs are from 2004.
On Google Maps I can see that the area near the course has been developed, but it looks as if the course itself has remained untouched.
Around 2005, not sure about the year, Monique and I had a look at some houses being built near/on the golf course. We had vacationed in the US where houses and apartments were integrated with one or more golf course, and we were wondering if this format existed in France (we knew it existed in Portugal) On this golf course there were some Provincial-style houses being built. But we found them smallish, poorly built and poorly equipped, and very expensive. It was this moment that inspired us to start looking along the Costa del Sol.
